Well, it's been ages.  Life happens all the time.  And I thought it was going to be a boring summer.  


The child has gone to vacation bible school and another 3 day camp in July already.


The parents spent two days in Halifax this month.  It was nice.  We left the child with grandparents.  No worries.  Adults only to see what they wanted when they wanted.


Now today, it's raining cats and dogs.  Everything on the veranda is soaked.  Yuk.  I guess I will be drying things tonight.


Made potato corn chowder.  Next time I will follow the recipe to the 't'.  It was good but too watery.

A highlight of our vacation was discovering Sir John Sparrow David Thompson's grave at Holy Cross Cemetery.  He was PM from 1892-94 and died unexpectedly in England after being appointed by the Queen to the privy council.  He was the first Catholic to be PM in Canada.
